Souparnika Nair, affectionately known as ‘Sou’, is a 13-year-old singer from Essex, who made it all the way through to the semi-finals of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2020. Beating hundreds of other contestants, Sou’s incredible depth, maturity, and pitch perfect vocal talent wowed fans and judges, least of all Simon Cowell, who described her as a “gutsy little thing”.
In fact, Sou, who at the time was still only 10, proved so popular, her rendition of The Greatest Showman’s “Never Enough” has received over 100 million views on YouTube … and counting!Since then, she has been busy appearing on ITV’S Christmas Spectacular, CBBC’s Blue Peter Children in Need and BBC radio.
But Sou is not new to performing in front of big audiences – amazingly, she started performing solo concerts when she was just 7! Her exceptional musical abilities then got her recognised by the team at BBC One’s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show making her the youngest star they’ve ever had perform.
But nothing could beat her spellbinding rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables, which received a standing ovation from a full house at the London Palladium!
