Isla Rose may be a small town southern girl, but her musical prowess reveals something entirely different. With a sound that blends the sultry vocals of Lana Del Rey with the energetic beats of Lorde’s production, Isla has created a sound that’s fresh, vibrant and entirely her own.
From the birthplace of blues to the epicenter of electronic music, Isla Rose takes us from the root of the US’s music scene to the buzzing streets of London. The Kentucky-born songwriter and producer began her musical journey at just 10 years old when she first got her hands on a pair of drumsticks. Upon relocating to Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis Presley and root of Blues and Americana, she dove headfirst into the local music scene, drumming in various bands. Isla’s real dream, though, was to one day make her own music. Her intrigue in the science behind sound and desire for something different lead her to London where she studied music production and sound engineering. It was here where Isla’s musical scope flourished.
