BROCKHOFF from Hamburg, Germany has just released two EPs and played more than 100 shows in Germany, EU and the UK including huge support shows for Giant Rooks and Paolo Nutini. Somewhere between empowering pop and uncompromising fuzz sounds, BROCKHOFF’s debut EP Sharks tells stories of coming-of-age, longing and evolving self-perception. Always oscillating between energetic rock with nineties references and bittersweet contemporary US pop, her music brings to mind artists and bands like The Cardigans, Avril Lavigne, Sheryl Crow but also Phoebe Bridgers or Soccer Mommy.
Her song “Sharks“ pretty much sums up her entire lyricism representing attitude towards vulnerable communication of one’s own feelings. So you better already remember her message in “Sharks”: ‘Don’t blame me for the sad songs‘.
