“Simply Irresistible” are the lyrics that South African-born, Nic Billington, belted out whilst watching a Robert Palmer music video at the tender age of 6 years. At that very moment, Nic knew he was destined to be in the music industry.

He spent his younger days with his notebook and pen, scribbling lyrics while laying down melodies on his tape recorder and by the age of 13, he had already written an array of songs, started his own band and was involved in the school choir.

Instead of heading off to college after school, Nic opted to work at an independent record company, where he spent time learning the trivia of the music industry. He soon began networking with producers, using his business acumen to slowly build the foundations of his career as a musician.

Nic performed his first solo act in a show at Ushaka Marine World and soon began traveling and performing at various corporate events like the annual Dolphin Dash and Mr South Africa: The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
