Flora dances to her own tune, with a distinctive velvet smooth voice, and lyrics from a deep well of personal experience. Steeped in musical pop/folk influences like Billie Marten and The Oh Hellos, and the vibrant sounds of Bad Suns and Ashnikko, Flora has already caught the attention of BBC Introducing.

2023 saw her first full release with single, Figure It Out and the recording of a sonically ambitious 6 track EP. Her sophomore single, Long Road Home is littered with artistic tropes including the Pop singer’s distinctive layered vocal and empowering lyrics. The video, filmed on the streets of Guildford cost £1 (the deposit for the shopping trolley). It’s a nostalgic watch, reminiscent of ‘coming-of-age’ films of The Twenty Tens like ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’.

She has picked up play on 50 UK radio stations, and has been featured on the influential Folk Arc Spotify playlist. Melita Dennett at BBC Introducing described her tunes “monumental”, saying that Flora is “such a smart songwriter”.

It is not just the recorded music: Flora is blossoming as a live performer – recent shows include two you-could-hear-a-pin-drop support performances at a packed Union Chapel, BBC introducing Live Lounge, and Secret Garden Party Festival. Flora also has a series of Sofar Sound shows coming up in London throughout the summer.
